SWE CEC Event at Air Zoo – February 2025
For the third year, FEMA Corporation participated as a sponsor for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Corporate Engineering Challenge. Our talented female engineers and other FEMA employees developed a interactive FEMA Plinko game utilizing our valve technology and an assembly activity using 3D printed parts to simulate a real FEMA valve assembly operation. Our Quality Manager, Sabrina Moore, participated in the Women’s Panel communicating with the girls about her path to engineering and answering any questions they had. The main event consisted of mentoring a team of middle school age girls building two vehicles, one for passengers and one for cargo, out of various materials with specific design goals. We look forward to next year’s event in February 2025!
