Meet FEMA Corporation's Board of Directors

FEMA Corporation would like to introduce visitors to the Board of Directors who make decisions on our company’s strategic path and future. FEMA is thankful for the experience and contributions this Board brings to our company. The Board in turn appreciates all the dedication and hard work our employee-owners provide to supply products and services which continuously exceed our customers’ expectations. Jeff Huffman joined FEMA Corporation in 1989. He has worked in the Fluid Power industry since the 1970’s in various manufacturing, engineering, and sales positions and served as FEMA CEO for many years. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing from Western Michigan University. Jeff is also a certified Hydraulics System Engineer from the Fluid Power Society and completed the Executive Integral Leadership Program at the University of Notre Dame.

Steve Pride joined FEMA in 1992 while studying Mechanical Engineering at Western Michigan University. He went on to receive his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering at WMU. Steve has worked as a Project Engineer, Chief Engineer, Chief Technical Officer, Managing Director, President, COO and now CEO of FEMA Corporation.

Jason Schutter joined FEMA in 2001 as a member of the Engineering Student Scholarship Program. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Western Michigan University. Jason has worked primarily in the Applications Engineering group during his tenure at FEMA where he worked as Manager of Applications Engineering, Director of Applications and Engineering, Vice President and now Chief Operating Officer. He is also a certified International Fluid Power Society Hydraulic Specialist.

Margie Simmons joined the FEMA team in January 2021 as an external Board member. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Michigan State University as well as studied at Purdue University. She has over 30 years of experience in operations, finance, design and corporate leadership. Margie is currently CEO of Landscape Forms, a Kalamazoo based global design and manufacturing company of premium site furniture, lighting and structures with over 500 employees in 5 locations located around the country. In addition to her commitment to Landscape Forms and FEMA, she is a Board member for the Landscape Architectural Foundation and Communities in Schools of Kalamazoo.

Tom Stoner joined FEMA in 2005. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Education from Western Michigan University. Tom has worked in various industries and has held various positions in Materials Management throughout his career. He is currently the Production Control / Shipping and Receiving Manager.

Steve Taylor worked at FEMA from 2008 until 2020 as Information Technology Director. He is currently serving as an external Board member. Steve has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Indiana University and Master of International Business Studies from University of South Carolina.

R. Kevin Clay is the President, CEO and primary shareholder of Pridgeon and Clay, Inc., a third generation family owned stamping company, headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI. A native of West Michigan, Kevin attended college at Western Michigan University and Cornerstone University for Vocal Music and Business Management, respectively. He also holds certifications in LEAN Manufacturing from University of Michigan, and Finance for Senior Executives from Harvard University. Before coming to Pridgeon and Clay, Kevin and his wife, Heather owned and operated Calico Corners Preschool Daycare and Infant Centers in the Kalamazoo area. He remains active in early childhood education as an advocate and member of the board of directors for First Steps Kent County. Kevin’s career at Pridgeon and Clay has primarily focused on sales and product/market development. He is named on two US patents for automobile emissions products, which have led to over $60 million in annual sales, and growing. He is also the recipient of the Higgins Caditz Design Award, which is given to metal stamped products which are designed to replace products made by less efficient means. An avid sports fan, Kevin lives in Rockford, MI with his wife (m. 2003), five children (ages 7-20), and his niece and nephew (ages 6&8).
