Third Shift Assembly and Test Operator

Work hours will be 8:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday, with Fridays as necessary. This is an hourly and overtime eligible.

FEMA Corporation has entry-level openings available on third shift in its Production Department. Shift hours are Monday – Thursday, 8:30pm- 7:00am. Candidates should be able and willing to work overtime hours as needed.

Operators work on teams assembling, testing and packaging hydraulic valves on various production lines in a temperature-controlled environment. No experience necessary. After a 90-day orientation period employees are offered benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K, long-term/short-term disability, life insurance, paid holidays, paid vacation and personal days, educational assistance and stock ownership.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manual assembly of small components (with training)
  • Standing up to ten (10) hours or sitting for up to three (3) hours while operating machines or equipment
  • Use of measuring tools including calipers, indicators, meters and gages (with training)
  • Construction and interpretation, using manual or computerized methods of statistical quality control charts (with training)
  • Packaging and lifting up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Operation of hydraulic test systems (with training)
  • Completion of routine shop paperwork, including basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
  • Light machine maintenance, including oiling, cleaning and setup (with training)
  • General housekeeping
  • Use of loctites, epoxies and other manufacturing materials
  • Plus other assigned duties

Education requirements, certifications, work experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
