Sourcing Supervisor

FEMA Corporation is looking for a full time Sourcing Supervisor to join the Purchasing Department and support Buyers on the Sourcing Team. This person will report directly to the Purchasing Manager. Normal work hours will be Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Job Responsibilities:
• Supervise a team responsible for direct material purchasing
• Provide guidance and support on appropriate sourcing decisions, in cost and contract negotiations, and act as a point of escalation for supply continuity concerns
• Develop, maintain, and monitor supplier relationships
• Drive strategy for cost management through price reduction initiatives and development of processes and procedures that support Purchasing function
• Support strategy development to support order management that achieves inventory goals
• Coordinate cost estimates on new product development opportunities and transition of components from product launches to production between sourcing team and planner team
• Communicate and manage milestones and deliverables on new product initiatives
• Facilitate commodity strategy development and help drive follow through on long term development of supply based on business needs

Job Requirements:
• 4-year degree in Integrated Supply Chain Management, Engineering (any discipline), or Manufacturing Engineering Technology
• 4 + years of experience in sourcing field; previous experience leading a sourcing team in procurement of technical products is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically or internationally
• Familiarity with AIAG, APQP, and PPAP requirements and expectations
• Strong knowledge of planning systems/approaches and measurement tools, as well as competence in ERP systems
• Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, including should costing and contract negotiations
• Strong project management or leadership skills with attention to detail and a mind toward continuous improvement
• Technical background with prior experience in hydraulics, automotive, and/or agriculture markets is preferred
